I present to you - my first handspun yarn. I dunked it into a waterbath after this photo was taken. I am going to knit *something* with it. I'm not sure what, but I just have to knit it!

Also, my porch steps were very rotted, and here is a before:

Here is after:

Very cool handspun! Good work.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful yarn!!! You must be so proud.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting about the new stairs. We went through that too. For a while, I lived in fear that the mail carrier would fall through and we'd get sued. So I know just how great it is to have strong new stairs!!
The handspun is great - wheel or spindle? And the porch looks amazing - a lot of hard work has clearly paid off:)
ReplyDeletePretty yarn - and pretty steps!
ReplyDeleteVery nice handspun. You must be so proud.
ReplyDeleteWhat color are you going to paints the new steps?
I'm very impressed with your first handspun. All the spinning I managed to do before I gave up and sold my wheel were never worthy of actually being knit.
ReplyDeleteWow.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fiber junkie, but those steps!!! Incredible.
Excuse me, while I turn positively green with jealousy. (In the best way, of course.)
Your handspun looks great! How fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat an improvement on your front steps. You sure have a lot going on over there. Keep up the good work!
Your handspun is really beautiful. Do you have a picture of the "before" roving? Please post whatever you decide to make with it. Keep it up :)
